Airport Screening Kits
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is screening all checked luggage including golf bags. TSA may need to open your locked bag during this process and may cut off locks that they can not open. As one possible solution to cope with this procedure we suggest using a sturdy cable tie to fasten a spare key to the handle of your bag. Do not fasten it to the D-Ring as it could cause the D-Ring to be torn off the bag. This way if TSA needs to open your golf bag they can find the key and be able to do so. The Velcro pad & strap assembly which is also included retains the cover on your bag if you must send it through unlocked. Note, this Screening Kit is NOT NEEDED with NEW Elite, Classic, Eagle II, Outfitter, all Ultima Bags, or with Travalite 14 and 9 bags. It is only offered as a retrofit for earlier models.
Trav-A-Lite does not warrant this solution as 100% fool proof (it will only keep the honest people out of your luggage and TSA employees still may not spot the key) and therefore Trav-A-Lite will not be held liable for lost or stolen clubs or damaged bags that occur during travel. You may also not get your spare key back. While it has worked well for us, you use this method entirely at your own risk. Shipping via surface mail is included in the price.
Our Airport Screening kit includes:
